Northamptonshire Archaeological Resource Centre (NARC)

Located on the Chester House Estate in Irchester, the Northamptonshire Archaeological Resource Centre preserves and manages archives from archaeological excavations across the county—both historic and ongoing.  Operated by North Northamptonshire Council in partnership with West Northamptonshire Council, the repository plays a vital role in safeguarding the region's heritage.

The collections are freely accessible to all researchers interested in exploring Northamptonshire's rich archaeological record.  Research visits must be booked in advance.

Guided tours of the Archaeological Resource Centre are available throughout the year, complemented by a diverse programme of public events.  For full details on visiting times and upcoming activities, please visit the website.
